VPNs are not a thing of yesterday. This technology was first used in the mid-90s when one of the Microsoft employees came up with PPTP
They don't even spell out "Virtual Private Network" .. and never were VPNs intended for privacy. They were intended for people to connect to the corporate network when they were offsite .. and PPTP was predated by IPSec.
