That's ~80% of "success" in America. can't stress how true this is. Everybody who is competent and does their job very well without making drama hates 'climbers', but we constantly see them rise up before imploding or otherwise causing problems in corporate world. Besides obvious things like nepotism and sleeping your way up the chain, self promotion is the biggest thing they do well. Far better than other people who just want to do a good job.
