      From what I have heard, a man could walk into another man's house and get an idea what was going on from what was on his coffee table.

      Kind of like the profile page of the 1950s.

      @sickburnbro Ages ago I worked with a chemistry professor who had an undergrad degree in math. He told me that sometimes he would read an article in Scientific American, realize he didn't really understand it and have to go back and read it again. This is how high level the material used to be.

      @sickburnbro I remember when those magazines were worth reading, and I enjoyed reading them. IIRC, everything started changing during the Obama years.
