Went to dentist yesterday to get the right side sorted (after having a tooth removed and a crown replaced on the left side a few weeks ago)
Dentist decided I can probably keep the tooth that he was originally planning to remove (yay!) and also he did the prep work for replacing the crown. Removed old crown, placed a temporary crown while we're waiting for the permanent crown to be ready in 2 weeks.
I just ate a sweet (shh don't tell the dentist). And. The temporary crown broke into 4 pieces.
Drat.
It doesn't hurt, though. I called and asked if I needed to come in straight away to get the temp crown replaced. Apparently it's safe to leave it as is for 2 weeks, but if it starts hurting, or I'm otherwise bothered by it, I should go in and they'll put another temporary crown on.
I think I'll leave it as is, avoid eating on that side of my mouth, and wait two weeks for the permanent crown to be ready.
Teeth! what fun.
