I think I need to archive my Firefox profile and start a new one. Some web site managed to get something in there that frequently displays virus alerts at the top right corner of my screen with links to fake McAffee and Norton. This is on my desktop Linux system, any time Firefox is running, even though it odesn't show a window for whatever site caused it.
Grrrr.

Eric Brombaugh (emeb@society.oftrolls.com)'s status on Tuesday, 17-Sep-2024 15:28:47 JST Eric Brombaugh @brouhaha Sounds like what we need is a git repo of the firefox profile that gets committed once a day. Then you could git bisect to figure out where the malware got in and exactly what it was.
