   #Trump uninjured after #gunshots *in the vicinity* of his #Florida golf course

   Trump was uninjured after shots were fired *near* his golf course in FL on Sunday, the Trump campaign said in a stmnt. The person responsible for the shooting has not been identified. It was not immediately clear whether Trump was a target of the gunfire. The incident happened around 2PM, the #SecretService said. “The former president is safe. We will have more details soon,” the agency said.

     1 person is in custody after shots were fired near #Trump & an #ARstyleRifle was recovered on his golf course in West Palm Beach, #Florida, on Sun, 4 snr #law enforcement ofcls briefed on the incident said.
     Trump was on the golf course when what sounded like gunfire was heard in the near distance.
     He was between the 5th & 6th hole on the golf course when the incident occurred.
     As a precaution, the #SecretService moved him to safety, but there was no evidence that Trump was targeted.

     Sheriff William D. Snyder of Martin County, #Florida, said his deputies detained the driver of a vehicle wanted by the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office in connection w/the #shooting. The person was detained as he was driving northbound on Interstate 95 & crossed from Palm Beach County to Martin County. The highway is shut down at Mile Marker 110, w/federal investigators on the scene, Sheriff Snyder said.

     #Trump just now sent an email to his #fundraising list saying that there were “gunshots in my vicinity, but before rumors start spiraling out of control, I wanted you to hear this first: I AM SAFE AND WELL!”

     He is horrible

     An individual opened fire near #Trump’s property — the Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach, #Florida, a private club about 4½ miles from Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate.

     From the WH: “The President & Vice President have been briefed about the security incident at the Trump International Golf Course, where fmr President Trump was golfing. They are relieved to know that he is safe. They will be kept regularly updated by their team.” - #POTUS #Biden & MVP #KamalaHarris
