Seems like the Linux part of Wikipedias Table of keyboard shortcuts article hasn't been updated in a while.

I went trough and removed/updated some deprecated stuff and added some stuff that wasn't there. For Gnome. And I learned some new stuff in the process.

But there's also some stuff there I'm not sure about and didn't touch even if I think maybe it should be changed. If you have some time, maybe you could have a look?

@harald You're both right, and further down it is instead split in KDE and GNOME, instead of Linux. The same should be done further up, if someone wants to contribute… ;)

Also: The browser shortcuts are listed based on OS, instead of… you know, browsers, which is even more strange, I'd say.

@Perpetual Beta 🇺🇦 I'd find it a bit weird to list the shortcuts of various desktop environments as Linux specific too. Most of these DE's run fine on other Unix-like systems as well, so they're not limited to only run on top of one type of kernel.

@forteller hmmm... Bit weird to list keyboard for Linux in the first place, considering the wealth of DEs and WMs that are floating around. Might be better to have separate columns for the biggest ones....? Or maybe they all follow the same conventions? Must confess I'm a bit of an ignorant in these matters, always been using tiling wm's...

But I also wish #Gnome would not change keyboard shortcuts for no reason. Just keep using the things people have become used to, how are we supposed to learn the new one, and why? Shortcuts become muscle memory.

@forteller GNOME apps are reasonably consistent across the board, at least for shortcuts found in https://developer.gnome.org/hig/reference/keyboard.html

@nekohayo Thanks for the link! I've been looking for that list for a little while, for other reason, with no luck searching.
