     yes, but we see much software not accepting incoming things without webfinger. As we all noted at several events, this destroys the fediverse.

     Just btw Evan, traditionally c-base streams to youtube and so did Berlin Fediday but I will mirror it to the peertube, somehow it only allows up to 5h, will check.
     And then add the shared presentation to it.

     if tools don't work without webfinger, it doesn't help much not to support webfinger. it doesn't matter whether webfinger is part of Activitypub or not.

     webfinger has nothing to do with ActivityPub.
     fediday Berlin joined fediforum later but in my Talk before I talked about our projects.
     In the Public Broadcasters project (ARD,ZDF,SRG,SRF,RTR,Radio Canada, CBC etc.) many many Actors are just an URL.
     It was a clever design decision in AP
     Due to the structure of Public Broadcasters, this project reaches 47 million people _in Germany alone_ ...
