I'm legitimately thinking about moving right back into my old apartment building in the middle of downtown again :despair: Just so I can walk to work and only pay $300 more on rent.

I haven't left my house in two days, and I probably won't until next Thursday. 😏

@SK1ZM There’s definitely an allure to cities. I used to want to go to them when I was naive about what they had become.
But I need nature and mountains n shiet

I have kenophobia so being out in the open freaks me out. I need clearly defined angles of attack and exits. I love being smothered in concrete in every direction. I have the opposite of claustrophobia, I wish I lived inside an MRI tube floating off into space outside of our galaxy.

It's all I know tbh. Lived in cities my whole life; Chicago, Atlanta, Louisville, New York, Seattle. :uncomfortable:

My family thought I was insane and stupid when I lived 3 miles from work and decided to sell my car just to save lots of money and buy a bicycle instead. I've ridden my bike through 3' snow and through torrential downpours. Each time I made sure to keep a change of clothes in a black garbage bag taken with me.

Not being able to walk to the grocery store or shops is crazy to me. I like riding the train to work while I'm half asleep still.

If you're willing to sell your car you'd more than make up for that $300 in rent. You'd need to prepare for walking or biking in any weather though.

I've walked/biked, or taken the bus/train my entire life. I'm used to walking twenty blocks to and from work in all types of weather. Sitting in traffic for hours or driving everywhere anytime you need something is fucking retarded.
I'll save that $300 just in gas driving 2-3 hours round trip to work five times a week.
