This is so frustrating. Queer people on Fedi are very clear what they mean when they talk about transphobia.
Doxing. Deadnaming. Misgendering. Death threats. Explicit invocation of hate crimes targetting queer people.
Publicly listing, and leading harassment campaigns against small instances.
We're not talking about microaggressions, right? We're not talking about an awkward person being a little pushy in the replies.
This is all very clear, very objective transphobia.

It's not a coincidence that the only example of "racism" that he can actually come up with is that people are calling Ro a transphobe.
It's such a lame, reactionary, boomer way of thinking.
He thinks he's the victim, because people are calling him out on his bigotry and that hurts his feelings.
Very much "cis is a slur" energy.

Anyways, Ro posted this earlier and I thought it was kind or remarkable because basically everything here is opposite.
- These are small survival communities. They are absolutely full of mutual aid efforts that Ro makes measurably more difficult.
- These are communities by queer people, for queer people. They do nothing but boost queer voices.
- There has been so much active discussion about how to make Black and transmasc users feel safe in the face of these lies.

I am ignoring things like Ro (in this post) intentionally using they/them pronouns to describe a trans woman.
That is not a normal thing to do. That is not a mistake.
But it might be a mistake, so people will rarely call him out in stuff like that.

It puts us in danger by incentivizing this never-ending witch hunt and then permanently listing all of its victims like fucked up human trophies.

I am kind of wondering if Ro's making fun of people in these communities for being poor?
It's true that you're unlikely to pull $750 like Ro gets each month, or the thousands that PacketCat and so_treu have recently raised.
But that's because tech bros have more money than traumatized and disabled queer people.
