@cameron@route66.social In the end I think you shouldn't really care how much power video makers have over a platform.
Video makers running a platform have the same power over its users than any random corporation does, it doesn't change a thing for us, the viewers.
A great and ethical video website should be owned by viewers, not video makers. Now that's something I would actually pay for.

You know the "creator-owned" streaming service Nebula? The one that content creators frequently refer to as "my streaming service Nebula" when advertising it?
Something about that always felt off to me so I did some digging to find the actual ownership structure of the company.
