I really don't want to get into policing people's queerness, but I think trans people like me (and WelshPixie) have an obligation to understand that society is not really trying to cause harm to us in particular.
Yes, it hurts when transphobes say transphobic things that invalidate you.
I get and experience the discomfort of being seen as a gender that doesn't really fit.
But me and WP are not meaningfully being targeted or in danger in an actual, tangible way.

I am not saying that people like me and WP don't have a right to talk about trans issues or participate in trans community.
But if we are going to compare our own experiences to other people's, we at least owe it to them to be a bit more specific about the how and why.

These conspiracy theories (in this case, primarily targeting trans men) have made it hard for all young trans people to get access to puberty blockers and HRT.
They make it harder, more expensive, and often impossible for all trans people to get health care.
We're talking real, tangible things.

People want to take trans kids away from their parents.
People want to take kids away from their trans parents.
People want to out trans kids to their abusive parents.
People, including some of WP's friends, want to do murder or violently assault trans people.

When major political parties talk about throwing trans people into camps, do you think they're talking about me and WP?
Because if The Day of the Rope happens, I am pretty sure it's not my trans identity that I'd be targeted for.

Irreversible Damage was a book written specifically to spread conspiracy theories about trans men and AFAB enbies.
"The Transgender Craze Seducing Our Daughters"
That book's purpose is to deny health care and civil rights protections to the trans people who the author sees as "girls".
The book didn't create the language society uses to invalidate trans-masculine people today, but it did popularize it.
