Oh and I have one thing to add: DARVO is not a fucking apology. Acknowledging individual cases of harm but not admitting the existence of a pattern of abuse or owning up to one's own bigotry is not accountability. It's just making excuses.

If, in the midst of trying to "make amends" for the awful shit you have done, you dedicate half of your time to accusing the person you harmed of causing your misbehavior by doing a bunch of shit THEY DID NOT DO, then what was the real purpose of your speech?

Just so we're getting the facts straight, because some people are straight up lying about what happened when and whodunit: I have never deadnamed or misgendered Eris, even though she did it to me multiple times. I have never posted any picture of Eris or made fun of her physical appearance, even though she did it to me multiple times. I have never provided Eris's info to any outside party. I have never harassed Eris either constantly or for "5 years".

The only talking about Eris that I have done is talking about the abuse she has brought upon me and other Black queer people on the fediverse. That's it.

To close, and this is for everyone, I am not the god damn owner, overseer, manager, or supervisor of every other Black queer on the fediverse. I do not control how Black queers, ESPECIALLY ON OTHER INSTANCES, respond to the abuse they experience from white supremacists.
