   @TrevorGoodchild @Dude when gaming became absolutely gpu drive it really put console on a back foot, they lost the ability to secure a good price on the mass production and also tied them to a process that was guranteed to be old by the time it came out.
   
   MS and Steam finally achieved what the consoles pretty much promised people "press button, play game"

     $700 and no disc drive. The disc drive costs $80. And this is how i find out that the ps5 needs a stand to lay down and that costs $30. So it actually costs $810 and that's without including tax! The base ps5 didnt get a permanent price cut.
