   @oddevan @ernie Same. If they were more open and had a plan to integrate ActivityPub then I would have tried it out.

     @ernie I wanted to use it more, but with no APIs (for cross posting or federation in or out) it was too isolated for me.

     Cohost didn’t work as a mass social network. (Arguably, it wasn’t trying to be mass, but a lingering piece of internet culture, like a modern-day Metafilter.) But its loss is nonetheless sad and one that some corners of the internet will lament.
