   @eemmaa @arcana I think in discussions like these there should be a way to distinguish between border regulations (which pretty much any nation state has) and the more nebulous egregore of "border control" (which is primarily used by the far right as a dogwhistle to push the Overton window to their side in the hopes of implementing more vibes-based ethnonationalist policies)

     @arcana@fedi.layer02.net @allison@hidamari.apartments i mean i think most democrats in congress support border control, its the idea of "wall" in recent times and desire for migrant workers. The wall is an easy thing to get people to vote over and pretend like you arent for immigration and border patrol and the idea is legitimately silly.
