   Just really has been grating on me for the last couple years how 80% of the mastoverse discussion about Cohost is "this company are fools for not relying on unpaid invisible labor like the Fediverse does".

     @mcc cohost felt like a social media site that tried to put into practice what everyone says they want the tech industry to be. it’s unfortunate we don’t yet live in a world where that’s viable

     When Cohost went up I felt like it really fulfilled something that had been missing in my life and without Cohost there's just gonna be something missing in my life again. Nothing fediversy is a replacement, bluesky is a joke, tumblr paywalls my shit without my permission and then sells it to LLMs. I think after this I just post less.
