   @veroandi Privacy is just one pillar of the actual goal called "Freedom". Yes technically with less privacy ( and less freedom respecting technology ) this person will be over-all less free ( and less private ). But it would be taking his freedom away if he couldn't make this decision. Freedom is extremely unstable, because for it stay you always have to genuinely choose it, over anything else, without being forced to do so.

     It seems like someone who tried to do everything at once. It's similar to when people radically change their diet or try to be more eco-friendly at once - they get overwhelmed and give up.
