I am always inordinately tickled when I encounter women "of a certain age" sporting tattoos. They might have the tightly curled blue hair, the support hose and house dress now, but at some point in their lives they were ungovernable. I have a feeling that if I would say to some of them "nice ink", they'd look at me like I was nuts. It's especially wonderful when they've also dyed their hair green or bright pink, which means they are STILL being ungoverable.
