This album is captivating me thus far about six tracks in. There are 42 tracks here and Toshiya Tsunoda/Taku Unami work similar yet distinctly different sound worlds. I’m not sure of their process here. Improvised? listen now, save questions for later.

This feels far too composed to be improvised but it’s an excellent collaboration none the less. There are many jostling sound-worlds present here. It’s made for repeated exploration and very, very worthy of that. I saw Unami once in a group soundtracking a film. No clue of his contributions then.

Taku Unami was working with very tiny sounds at that time and it was honestly hard to pick out anything distinct from the players. He was on MacBook surround by some wind instruments and a percussionist all of extended techniques.
