     I saw someone in the comments arguing that poor people NEED to use PayPal as a defacto checking account because something something gig economy something something paycheck to paycheck and I don't care how little money you have do not fucking keep your money let alone your whole fucking paychecks in PayPal. Transfer your money to an actual bank account

     PayPal can and will confiscate all of your money and freeze your account whenever it feels like it and it is under no obligation to give you your money back. Consider all money held in PayPal to be captive, and you need to get it out of there as fast as possible

     I opened a PayPal account 6 months ago and after receiving some birthday money PayPal decided that I was a fraud and completely froze my account and my access to any funds in the account. Do not keep any money in a PayPal account

     i am absolutely begging online leftists to stop treating disabled and poor people like infants who are entirely incompetent, incapable of learning, justified in making bad decisions, and completely helpless. Just because you can understand and sympathize with why someone in these circumstances would make a bad decision like this, that doesnt mean you need to legitimize and justify why they should continually shoot themselves in the foot until they bleed out
