what is interesting here is that now that the shine is off Harris some of the mid-tier media orgs are going back through Harris's tape and finding her saying all these ridiculous things.
If you see the large ones doing this, it will really hurt her image and will be likely them feeling the need to disassociate with what they see as a terminally failing candidate.

If they feel she can't win, they will say "we did our best, but there is nothing else we can do, and we need to survive as an organization through the next 4 years"

@monsterislandcolonizer yeah, the interesting thing here is they obviously have a lot of money to spend, and they seem to be spending it, but I think they must have thought they would do an initial big spend, go into the convention and get a big bounce there in enthusiasm
But it kind of feels like they are running the 2020 playbook .. but no society shutdown due to covid.

@kc-poast The problem is that health and safety regulations make that hard.
What I'm most interested in with this is that voicing support for banning straws was just a stupid idea, because it was really just a hair-shirt for progressives and something that the vast majority of people have ended up hating.
Also the coated paper sucks. I don't know if coated paper straws always sucked or if they've done something stupid to make them suck, but if so, I can tell why people loved plastic straws when they came out.

@sickburnbro we should ban plastic straws and normalize bringing your own cups to restaurants or have a wall where you hang your cups up at the local watering hole like the old mans clubs do it. Plastic is an abomination but PFAS coated paper is even worse because it is gay.
