Influencing us with foreign propaganda covertly is not allowed. You have to do it openly like Israel, and you also have to register as a foreign agent (unlike Israel and AIPAC.)

Anyway I was too quick to laugh about this, it's an indictment and no proof or evidence is provided yet. If this follows the typical Russian influence formula, no real evidence will be provided.

The DNC is already putting out press releases attacking Jill Stein for "campaigning with alleged Russian assets" related to this. So yeah this is, today, it's just the White House abusing its power to compel the Justice Department to make indictments whether or not they are true so they can be used for smears.

@leyonhjelm @sun is it actually gonna be more money than the mere few hundreds of that facebook "ads" fiasco which were just promoting weird shitty pages IIRC?

@sun
The interesting part is it sounds like they simply funded people who say things they like rather than telling them what to say, and that they did not exert any editorial control. How insidious.

@coolboymew @Zettour @leyonhjelm I don't think the indicted people are even in the USA so they probably will have a sham trial where they present no actual evidence and win by default so that Democrats can say they were found guilty.
