     @dushman @julia @david @nyatalily @yukijoou i just think all the UI kits on Linux are unbearable and have no synchronization with eachother, by the time you download more than 3 programs it ends up looking like a circus, with each program looking different from the other, not to shill mac but it has a way more cohesive software experience

     That being said though, I always go for qt versions of programs instead of gtk ones if possible, it's much less issue prone for the user.

     @julia @nyatalily @dushman @david i think qt would be better if it was just a UI framework, and not a full standard library replacement for c++ with 2 UI libraries (qtgui & qtquick), one of them embedding a whole UI description language with built-in javascript support

     At least Gtk2 worked well. Gtk 3 and 4 are clusterfucked and function like ass. Qt is a much better ui framework.

     @munir @julia @dushman @david @nyatalily yeah, honestly, if i ever write a linux desktop app, i'll probably end up writing all the logic in a separate library, and making qt/gtk/.. wrappers around it for the UI, because there isn't really a single cross-desktop ui library that stays good looking and also at least pretends to somewhat integrate
