I've noticed that criticisms of machine learning (ML) ignore that the root problem is capitalism.
If we lived in a world with infinite resources and no-one needed to work to validate their existence, then there would be no problem with generative AI.
Of course we live in a world with finite resources, and ML is branded as invalidating the existence of many people, especially creatives, while burning loads of energy and semiconductors.
Still, better to explicitly mention the problem.
