     The camera fucks off into Donald Sutherland's mouth making the meme face.

     If I wasn't watching this one for #Monsterdon I would have considered turning it off. But I liked some of what it had going on.

     Soundtrack continues to be excellent, second favorite part of the movie after the high-budget VFX bits.

     I did really like the on-sceren chemistry between Donald Sutherland and Brooke Adams, though. There just isn't a lot of room in this movie for a romance subplot

     (somehow, despite a 2 hour runtime)

     It's been a while since I've seen the original but I remember it being far more compelling than this take on the story.

     One of my favorite things about movies from the 70s are sustained shots. This movie doesn't have particularly long ones, but compared to modern movies which often cut on <1s timescales, it's practically contemplative.
