@scottjenson I had a knee-jerk reaction similar to 1 just now while reading. But I took some time to digest this and I think I see what you mean when you say a growth-minded instance might further moderation a lot more quickly (even given the way Mastodon's code-base is managed).

1. Most people don't care, 'winning' is "capitalist claptrap"
2. It's defederated, there is no one to make key decisions
3. It's STILL not figured out moderation, this place still isn't safeI don't want to 'win' to get money, I want to "win" to liberate everyone. If there were only 2-3 instances that took growth seriously, that might do it?
