I remember visiting my brother after he separated from his wife. He complained about how hard life was because now he actually had to do housework in addition to his other life activities.
He seemed sincerely distressed.
I thought to myself, "Is this the first time that you've actually experienced adulthood? Dude, you're in your 50s. But that somehow seems stressful for you, huh?"
