    Je ne vais pas maintenir une bifurcation de Mesa pour 10 ans. Et - contrairement à Lina - je peux fusionner mon code à Mesa sans la surveillance des adultes là 😉 c'est-à-dire, j'ai la chance. Elle ne l'a pas.

    Je préférais ne pas ajouter beaucoup au feu actuel de la polémique, mais... c'est une situation fatiguant, pour tous. Elle surtout. (Je suis biaisée...)

      @jlin@fosstodon.org It being so slow is what burns people out... the project had a lot of momentum at the start but it's been slowing down a lot. Nobody wants to wait 10-15 years to see the result of their work become useful. Personally, having the driver out of tree for so long is a maintenance burden and hurts users because it delays merging of the Mesa side due to UAPI policy reasons. That means stuff that ships upstream Mesa binaries (like Flatpak and NixPkgs) doesn't work. At the end of the day Rust motivates new developers to come in and help... but not if it goes this slowly and with so much pushback.
