   @xgranade It's a weird device. It's basically "what if tech, but good!", they just have a webserver and ssh server on it if you hate the UI! and... what the hell

     I swear, I'm not sure I've owned a tech device that I've just loved more than my reMarkable. The desktop software sucks, but not so badly as to get in the way. Other than that, it's been four years since I bought one used (not sure how long the previous owner had it), and zero signs of planned obsolescence or breakage. It just keeps doing what it needs to do, and doing it pretty bloody well.

     (Full disclosure: I got grandfathered into a free-for-life subscription to its online services.)
