@faggotracist1488 @eris a "safety-first" design philosophy isn't exactly incompetence. Pleroma has taken code from akkoma before and accepted a couple PRs from floatingghost
I've stuck with Pleroma this whole time because I don't feel the need to put baby-proof covers into the electrical sockets

@faggotracist1488 @eris what pleroma dev controversy over the past half-decade hasn't been caused by gleason? He's gone now, and I haven't seen anything particularly controversial coming from hj, feld, or tusooa

@lewdthewides @eris yeah the rest of them are quite competent. in general though my point being i have no patience in people who let politics of any sort, identity, internet, real life, whatever, affect their software beyond the most basic values from the start there (as in like if you're a strong privacy advocate and you write something meant to be private i mean no duh thats semipolitical but it's not interfering with anything thats the purpose)
however akkoma has given me one good things, the ability to troll and then laugh at them, due to their incompetency

@eris lmao
it's been known i am not a fan of the pleroma dev. honestly i find that whole side of fedi particularly insufferable. i mean as a whole it is but there's a difference in insufferable of most retards and then this side of it that, i'm not sure how exactly to phrase it, but i'm sure you understand what i mean.
oversensitive people who care and cancel too much i suppose, i would never expect sane decisions or competency from that. and while a lot of fedi is pretty awful too myself included, some random edgelords shit is not going to seriously affect a project realistically. unless its other reasons like gleason
