kaia (kaia@brotka.st)'s status on Saturday, 31-Aug-2024 16:56:28 JST kaia first order from UNIQLO arrived. people praise it a lot, saying that it's not fast fashion but really good quality.
I ordered different categories - for me and the bf. and the quality overall is okay, but the woolen and kashmir items are very lightweight and not tightly woven. the cotton items and polyester ones are quite good. I think UNIQLO is best when the fabric itself is cheap and they can give you more of it.
I'll order again, but only cotton or polyester.- Haelwenn /элвэн/ :triskell: and :blobcathug: like this.

kaia (kaia@brotka.st)'s status on Saturday, 31-Aug-2024 17:05:46 JST kaia @cell how does MUJI compare to UNIQLO? what's the next steps up in brands? what would you get if you were richt?
last two years I haven't bought anything from any retailer. the quality of even many fashion brands greatly declined. it may sound dumb, but the best clothes I have come from thrifting items that are quite old. my escort friend sometimes gets stuff from her dudes she does not want to wear and dumps them on me. and it's quite frustrating that "reputable" fashion brands, LVMH stuff, is medium or low quality garbage. -

and yes, my best articles of clothing are the ones that are hand me downs or tailored stuff, but those are special stuff that i don’t wear daily
i think for “normal” daily wear, it’s quite hard to get something easily accessible that is beyond a certain quality - though i feel you can tell between what middle class and lower classes wear even though it’s the same categories :thinking_cirno:kaia and on-lain ✔ᵛᵉʳᶦᶠᶦᵉᵈ like this. -

I mean if it's items that originally were 100+ poundos, I can understand it. buuut most thrift stores centrally in big cities are a scam in my experience. -

I was at a mall in Sofia a couple months ago and what do I see A SPRINGFIELD STORE and I HAD to go and see what they had and I bought a loooot of stuff because I discovered things are half or quarter the price they are in Spain, probably because they have a ton of unsold stock and because purchasing power. Sooo for the price of 1 pair of jeans in Spain I got like 8 things including jean shorts kaia likes this. -
