   I guess I'm just muting this now, because holy shit is this thread going to be a top tier example of what makes this place unappealing.

     A lot of people are seeing that the fediverse is not viewed as an attractive alternative to Twitter, and concluding is because people don't know about it. But I'm pretty sure people don't see it as an attractive alternative because they do know about it.
