   here's an experiment: i'd love some suggestions for solutions to these 13 problems about redirects in the terminal, but there are a lot of them!

     @PeterSommerlad please don't try to explain to me _why_ these things happen (I know why!) only potential solutions that have personally helped you

     `sudo echo blah > /etc/file.txt` doesn’t work

     that is because the shell is interpreting redirect first.
     with my guideline to put the redirect first in the command it becomes more obvious.

     try

     sudo “echo bla >/etc/file.txt”

     or

     sudo sh -c “echo bla >/etc/file.txt”
