     @aral It’s really disappointing to get this periodic reminder that, no matter how good I ever get at following the tenets of love & understanding in my religion, atheists will just sneer and dismiss me with “magic sky fairy”.

     @naptowncode Love and understanding don’t require religion, they require humanity.

     And I’m no more an atheist than I am an abatmanist. (I don’t define myself by the fact that I don’t believe that this storybook character or that is real.)

     Clearly the markets are all knowing, all seeing, all loving and will guide us to a promised land where we are all equal.

     I mean obvio most less equal than others

     @naptowncode I never said it’s impossible to be a good person despite religion. It just takes a lot of work to creatively reinterpret/ignore/reject all the horrible bits.
