I love when someone tries to be snarky and tell me to "look something up", when I'm already VERY well aware of what that something does and it's not what they think...🤦♂️
Authorized Fetch, Mastodon's proprietary feature, does not add "privacy" to Fedi.
All it does is authorize users activity through the Mastodon API so that blocks are enforced more strictly.
It doesn't stop anyone from typing in your profile link and reading your posts, nor does it turn off the RSS feeds built into Mastodon that anyone can subscribe to without your knowledge and be reading your posts...
There's no "privacy" here unless you're account has follow approvals on and you set your posts to "followers only".
This is not signal or session, it's not some sort of bastion for privacy. It's social media, everything is public unless you do something to change that yourself.
