Our understanding is Trump’s handlers prefer the muted mic bc they don’t think their candid. can act presid’l for 90 min on his own. We suspect Trump’s team has not even told their boss abt this dispute bc it wd be too embarrassing to admit they don’t think he can handle himself against VP Harris w/o the benefit of mute button.."
