     Why set aside one of the few things that puts you above most everyone else? To express yourself with music is a unique talent that most of humanity doesn't have and most who do are dickheads...

     You shouldn't do something that makes you unhappy, but otoh you should think about why you're doing it in the first place and if maybe you're just setting unrealistic expectations and letting yourself down when you're unable to meet them.

     @lunarised@whinge.town you don’t seem mediocre to me, I mean I can barely play music, I just find it’s food for my brain. I’m sure there’s some reason you have for playing music other than being seen as great or not mediocre.
