Haelwenn /элвэн/ :triskell: (lanodan@queer.hacktivis.me)'s status on Monday, 26-Aug-2024 14:01:35 JST Haelwenn /элвэн/ :triskell: @ignaloidas Nah. Nearly all my stuff is standalone lamps or entirely replaceable over-hanging ceiling lamps on plugs except for:
- Bath-room where there's 2 light fixtures (with the big edison sockets though) in addition to a ceiling lamp
- Kitchen where there's somewhat decorative halogen spots, sadly last time I looked hardware store didn't have proper fixtures to fit the existing holes
And that's it, no weird fixture where it's stuck to fluorescent tubes for example, which would be typical of 70~80's, while mine's from 2005.
So problem is more like finding *good* lamps, because holy shit hardware store sell garbage. -

Ignas Kiela (ignaloidas@not.acu.lt)'s status on Monday, 26-Aug-2024 14:01:37 JST Ignas Kiela @lanodan@queer.hacktivis.me tbh you basically need a new house that's been built in the last like 6 years to get properly designed-in LED lighting
roughly the same with standalone lamps, for a while most stuff was lightbulb socket compatible, only the last couple of years did LED stuff became good enough
