I've met #TimWalz three times. The first time was in Wadena County #Minnesota DFL convention when I was running for the nomination for a state house seat and he wanted to be Governor. We both sat in the back of the room, waiting for our turn to speak to the county's delegates. We started chatting, and we got along great (everyone gets along great with Tim.).
The next time I saw him was at Junk Yard Brewing Co. in #MoorheadMn at one of his greater--Minnesota victory parties after he was elected Governor (I had failed to secure the party's nomination). He remembered me, including my name, and picked up where we left off in Wadena.
The third time was at a fund raiser in rural Minn for a state Senator. Same thing, and he expounded on his favorite Junk Yard Brewing beer.
The point is, Tim Walz is a real guy, who will remember you, who enjoys and cares about people in a personal way. #Kamala clearly saw that in him, too. It's not an act with Tim. And it makes me trust Kamala's judgment even more.
Minnesota's sad loss will be America's joyous gain.
