   As @yoyoel and Samantha Lai say, we might experience "a protective effect at the structural level" to its user base, mainly due to the Fediverse lacking algorithmic acceleration mechanisms and built-in financial incentives.

   Does this mean we are not expected to see any monetization of the #fediverse?

     @RookieNerd @yoyoel MANY people have this delusion, unfortunately.

     Fedi needs to make money to survive. Anyone not acknowledging this is being dishonest or really really optimistic. I'd bet the former.
