My wife is under the computer desk of her nonagenarian mother, and has just found a Raspberry Pi
No, no idea why it's there

@bellinghman if you don't know why it's there, do you know where it likely came from? Or does she just have IT elves who come in and set up systems overnight?
@simon3270 @bellinghman I keep swearing I'm going to label the plugs and cables but I haven't actually DONE it yet... So many steps between here and there!
@bellinghman @Antiqueight Can't beat a labelled plug!
@Antiqueight @bellinghman "I am that elf" 😁 It's monitoring the network, backing up local data, and providing somewhere for me to send offsite backups.
@simon3270 @Antiqueight I did rather assume it was your work
We're installing a Brother colour laser/scanner, but tidying and labelling stuff while we're about it
All the plugs under the desk are now labelled
@bellinghman for a second I thought that was addressed to me and I thought "No, the only one I have is in MY mother's house"
@dryak Can you come set up my pi for that??
@bellinghman @simon3270 @Antiqueight I am in sevetal toots of this thread and feel seen! 😹
(seriously, I am also an adept of "RasPi under the desk as an off-site backup" and obsessively labelling cables)
@qhstone @simon3270 @bellinghman I think it is the sanity brought by middle age....
@simon3270 @bellinghman @Antiqueight I only started labeling plugs this year. I’m 50. I don’t know why I never thought to do it before.
