I took on a rush translation from somebody who is running a research at an University. I usually charge 50% upfront and he said "I can pay you know! - just invoice me" so I did, and I finished it before the end of the month like he asked and I still haven't received payment. Ugh. He asked me for additional work but I told him I won't be able to start it until I get paid for work I submitted 10 days ago! I know he is not the one paying but the accounting dept but still. #translation #freelance
