I've put 3,165 miles on my e-bike since purchasing Zelda in 2019. At federal mileage rate = >$2,100 in avoided car costs. She's paid for herself. (Yes, I know I could go back and use specific per diem rate for each year I've owned her but I didn't track mileage that closely and I'm going to figure I'm just adjusting for inflation.) I could likely sell her for nearly what I paid, which I wouldn't do. Any such calculus apply to vehicle use or resale value? Nope.
