Letting lying dogs lie.
It's almost like humanity has seen this behavior a time or twelve before. Good thing we're fast learners... 🤦♂️

I've always thought truth excluded subjectivity (neat trick if we could ever manage it).
I think the truth is the truth regardless of our ability or motives to perceive, discover or occlude it.
Dems need to come up with a better defense for this particularly pernicious strategy.
You drop an anvil on my head, and the result is the same for all observers. But, "What true for you is true for you, while what's true for me is what's true for me," is much more beguiling than iron.
This is why I don't believe education will save us. Too many of us think we already know things that no one ought to believe, and there's no unteaching that kind of stupid.
That's some serious wisdom. Alas, a close cousin to deliberate lies is the popular claim that truth is subjective. The fact that "truth is subjective" is stated as an absolute which, therefore, contradicts itself, doesn't seem to bother those with whom the claim is popular.
So we have lies on the other side, while our side tends to say there is no truth. This empowers the liars, and, well, here we are.
