     Crony? Is it something different or are you just misspelling cronie? I use cronie and never had issues. It has anacron features so you can do like@daily @reboot and so on besides standard cron syntax.

     @dushman @runarcn @rose crony is ok, if you don't like it maybe look into chrony (think it might be buggier than crony, it's a fork of crony anyway, or the other way around, can't remember)

     It goes in the order of minute, hour, day of month, month, day of week. Pretty straightforward.

     though real criticism for cron would really just be the syntax, i prefer systemd-timers because well, my server already has systemd, might as well use it
