   @annaecook @hbuchel You can’t build solid stuff with unethical business models. The products of surveillance capitalists are complex because building planet-scale factory farms for human beings is complicated.      Tech companies like to stack on layers upon layers of functionality instead of making the basic product that is promised better.

     Then there becomes so much bloat in a product that it becomes impossibly complex.

     I just want us to focus on just building solid stuff.
