   Does anyone else have a Wix website that they successfully linked to their Mastodon account? I thought I could put the rel=“me” code in using the “embed html” function, but the link won’t work. (Boosts would be greatly appreciated.)

     @lunasspecto A ha! So that’s what’s going! And that explains why it doesn’t show up in the source code. Well, I have no idea how to fix this. I’m going to have to bite the bullet and talk to a support person by phone. (I really hate talking on the phone.) Thank you!

     @Rachel_Thorn I don't use Wix myself but I noticed two things about the Mastodon link on your site:
     1) It doesn't load in the Japanese-language version, which is what initially loads when you open the main URL for the site
     2) Wix isn't putting your custom HTML link directly into the page itself. Instead, it's keeping it in a separate document which is inserted via an iframe

     @EricaFriedman Wix will only allow me to add a URL; so markup at all. You would think they would take note of the big emigration going on and add Mastodon to their list of choices for social media links (and also automate the rel="me" thing), but here we are. I am tempted to going back to doing all my own HTML, but I know it will end up looking like a 1990s website if I do, and it will also be a hassle so I will update it even less frequently than I do now.

     @Rachel_Thorn I finally just added the rel statement to the Mastodon link on Yuricon, since WP was also being tiresome. It worked fine. SO if you have a link to "contact you" anywhere you can just add that to that page/list/whatever.

     Now that I've done it, I will be glad to help you.
