   @foolishowl @broadwaybabyto this. It doesn't even match the evidence. I looked at several studies on sterilisation regret rates and similar, and they all had tiny positive results - like absolute max 5% of people expressing some regret.
   It's way higher than that for people who DO have kids 🙄

     @broadwaybabyto What's struck me in this and similar stories is the near uniformity of doctors' responses, which seems to go beyond common misogyny. I wonder if this fixation on women's fertility is heavily pushed in their training.
