     The missives reflect growing fear among #Democrats that #ElonMusk — who has vocally endorsed #Trump & *interviewed* him on the site late Monday — could use his platform to give Trump & other #Republicans a leg up in this year’s elections.

     In addition to the apparent restriction on the #Harris campaign account & erroneous #Grok replies, some pro-Harris accounts have been labeled as #spam, incl #WhiteDudesForHarris & #ProgressivesForHarris, as Trisha Thadani reported.

     #JerryNadler (D) voiced similar concerns in a letter last month after some users reported temporarily being unable to follow an #X account for the #Harris campaign. Nadler wrote that if X was “intentionally throttling or blocking” the account, it would “amount to egregious #censorship.”

On Mon, Rep #JerryNadler (D) called on House #Judiciary Chair #GymJordan (R) to “investigate political censorship” on X, citing the company’s #chatbot, #Grok, falsely telling users #Harris was ineligible to appear on the 2024 ballot.

     The #X chatbot shared the #disinformation for >1 week until it was corrected in late July.

     In a press release announcing the move, #JerryNadler’s office cited #GymJordan’s “extensive focus on allegations of #censorship on #SocialMedia this #Congress.”
